From Green Jade Gems, this slot might be sweet, but is unlike most of those you’ve played before! In Candy Prize, you get 20 moves to reach a goal that’s set for you, and all you need to do in those 20 moves is make matches, meet your goals, and win money! The graphics here are bright and cheerful, with as many colours as your typical pick n mix - rolling fields are complete with large items of confectionery, and the play board is full of fruity sweet symbols, from red hearts to green triangles. Meanwhile, an upbeat song plays throughout, and if it doesn’t get you in the mood for a whole load of sweets, we don’t know what will!
How to play
There are quite a few symbols on the play board - 56 in total. The 7 reels each have 8 symbols apiece, but there are no typical paylines here. Instead, once you’ve bet your wager, you have 20 ‘moves’ in which you’ll aim to meet a particular goal. Each move consists of you swapping a symbol with a neighbouring symbol to make a combination of symbols. Winning symbols then disappear, with new symbols cascading down from above. Just get 3 or more symbols in a line, or form a square with 4 symbols. 4 or more gems can make a boost too - simply tap or swap a boost to launch it. Boost symbols are Rockets, Explosives, Bombs and Super symbols, and they all allow you to detonate symbols on the play board.
To get the maximum payout, you need to meet the goal that’s set out for you. There are 5 different goal symbols, and one of them will play a part in your goal. You’ve got the Candy symbols, Peppermint symbols, Egg symbols, Chocolate symbols and Grass symbols. Each is triggered in a slightly different way - you may have to match other pieces next to your goal symbol or make them drop to the bottom of the board, for example. There’s also the Skill Balance Pot, which collects all lost winnings resulting from suboptimal play, and distributes them out as mystery prizes, shared between all players on the same bet level. You’ll have the opportunity to win some of the Pot in each round, depending on your performance, so it’s not only the maximum win that you should be looking out for!
